One skein wonder(ing)

noro iro skein

I have 1 skein of Noro Iro (75% wool 25% silk, color 9), essentially I want it to become a scarf, but I have my doubts about there being enough yarn. When googling I can find one project using only one skein, and even that one recommends 2 skeins... and a dog.

UPDATE:

Thanks for the suggestions, I only saw them this morning - and already made a scarf. It did turn out long enough - jipii! Originally I wanted the weaving to show, but I like the seedstich-look better. It has to be closed with a needle - this one is a hairpin from New Zealand, apparently made from whale-bone, but I doubt it... and it´s really soft and warm. Could have done with a pair of bigger needles, the biggest size I have is an 8, but it will do - at least it´s not letting any wind through.

And boy, do I want a whole sweater in this yarn!

I've seen hats done with one skein of iro - though it would be best to do a top-down one so you don't run out of yarn

Why don't you stripe it with another yarn, a solid which matched?

yes, add a little chocolate brown.

maybe make a thin scarf? (pure genius, huh?)
