Heartbeat II
and this made my heart beat too: a perfect pregnancy sweater, knitted from the top down, so well-designed, and just plain cute.

Yesterday I listened to a tiny heartbeat.
Today I'm listening to this:

The wish below was granted, and now I want a new one: Lotta Jansdotter "simple sewing for baby", because I really like Lotta's style, and yeah - because we are having a baby! Viola will become a big sister in November!
This is also why I haven't blogged for more than 2 months (two?!?), that - and the combination of spring and our new garden, we really really like the place, and Viola enjoys being outside as much as possible.
There has been a minimum of knitting, like 2 mindless towels, and half a top (in a lovely combination of cotton and wool - I really should finish while I'm still able to fit into it), one funny side effect is that this yarn makes me nauseous, even though I find it stunningly beautiful, so the arrowhead shawl will have to wait, I really hope this side effect will pass around November.
I have been able to enhance the stash though, so cross your fingers my knitting-mojo will return soonish. Having a winter baby means I really should get cracking, but untill my energy returns I'm just making plans and buying too much yarn.

Weekend Sewing!
(I can´t believe Bookdepository now is more expensive than Amazon. Boh)
New Knitty is up - really nice patterns - but the baby scares me!

I ran out of isager alpaca a few rows before binding of on a shetland triangle, quick (tired, annoyed?) decision made me cast of by crocheting. Wrong decision - it's impossible to block the scarf, the edge isn't strechy at all, but I still tried - and the yarn broke in several places.
Quick (awake, wise?) decision made me look through my stash, and this one skein of Dunlin appeared, in a similar color - so I'm going to rip the scarf back to the beginning of the edging, and make the edging with Dunlin. I hope it's going to look as beautiful as I imagine, ading a bit of heaviness to the lightness of the alpaca, and a bit of contrast in color and fiber too.

It's going to be so pretty, just look at Mette's version - but it is taking me aaaaaaages. I find it to be such a boring knit, it's not the model, not the yarn (yummy stuff), it might be the needles (rose wood, but the tip isn't sharp enough, and size 3,5 mm just seems tiny after 7 mm of speed), or even the lace-pattern (same as EZ February sweater).
I better get cracking though - it's a woolen dress

In a few months, the needles and the yarn will be exchanged with this:

An old friend of mine moved to France and sold her "Kolonihavehus" (a small piece of land with a tiny wooden house, on an area surrounded by similar small pieces of land and tiny houses, some really cool, some a bit more... hmm... let's just say there's loads to look at). So now we finally have our own garden and a summer house. The garden is really great, loads of herbs, bushes, trees and a big lawn. The main house is really cool - one big open room. The rest needs a bit of work - which I'm looking forward to, and so is the boyfriend.
So we are making loads of plans, how to interior decorate (that's the fun and easy bit - the one with all those colors). Which seeds to buy. And finally - how to make the place just as we want it to be over the years. But this summer it's going to be all about the interior, tearing down the really bad buildings, restore the rest - and enjoy the garden just as it is, getting to know what's growing. So probably not much knitting. One of our sewing machines is moving to the house though, pillows and curtains are to be made!
This rocking chair we found 2 of in a local antique shop - just perfect for the place.
